Chief's Message

Dear Visitors,

Welcome to the Police Department section of the Village of Carpentersville website. I hope that you will use this section to learn a little about our department and what we do in our community. One of my goals is to continue to bring the community and its police department closer, thereby creating an environment where together we can work to keep Carpentersville a safe environment to live, work, and raise our families.

Our officers perform with a high level of integrity, honesty, loyalty and professionalism while treating people with dignity and respect. Attention to customer service is always at the forefront while remembering our duty to maintain order and the public peace. We are committed to providing protection of life and property of all persons regardless of their race, creed, color, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, age or disability. The constitutional rights of all people shall be the responsibility of all members of the police department in the performance of their official duties.

The Carpentersville Police Department obtains its authority from the people, and is charged with the responsibility to achieve and maintain public order through the powers granted by the legislative bodies of the federal, state, and municipal governments.

Public confidence in the criminal justice system depends to a large extent on the trust people have in their police department. Only by providing the highest quality of service and maintaining the highest professional ethics can we expect to foster trust and confidence.

This web site is just one more way we hope to reach out to you, introduce our services, and solicit comments, and yes, even criticisms. We aim to be responsive to our community’s concerns and needs. You can also follow us on Facebook.
