Fire Chief Successfully Wraps Up '100 Day Plan'
October 24, 2016
- Do your job, give an all-out effort, have an all-in attitude, treat people right. This is the expectation Chief John-Paul Schilling has of all the members of the Carpentersville Fire Department going forward after the successful completion of his “100 Day Plan”.
“The 100 day plan set us up for success, as it has led to the alignment of management with the rank-and-file personnel,” said Village Manager Mark Rooney. “We will continue to build upon the trust that has been established between the fire department leadership and the union to address the needs of the department in a cooperative manner, which in turn leads to better services for our citizens.”
The “100 Day Plan” was established through the collaborative effort between Village administration, the Battalion Chiefs, and executive board members of the fire department’s full and part time unions, and prioritizes the objectives and subsequent goals to be completed by Chief Schilling by mid-October.
