Citizen Reporting

Frontline Citizen Reporting

The Carpentersville Police Department offers citizens an online reporting service to create a police report for non-emergency crimes. The goal is to make reporting crime an easier task for citizens.

Various reports can now be processed through our secure portal powered by Frontline.  This is the same online system the department uses to request overnight parking permission, a vacation watch on a residence, or pet management.

Types of incidents / crimes that can be reported online include:

  • Credit Card Fraud
  • Criminal Damage to Property Under $300.00
  • Criminal Defacement Under $300.00
  • Gas Drive Off (Gas Stations Only)
  • Identity Theft
  • Lost Property
  • Report needed for insurance
  • Theft Under $500.00

Once the incident / crime form is submitted online, kindly allow two (2) business days for the police department to respond with a report number or request any other information needed.

If you would still like to report one of the previously mentioned incidents / crimes in person, you are still welcome to do so by either calling 911 or going into the Carpentersville Police Department lobby to complete a report 24/7.
