Stop The Bleed
Course Description: The class provides information from basic to moderate level trauma/bleeding control. The goal is for you to be able to recognize why controlling bleeding is important and how to do it effectively. The public, that perform such tasks in active assailant scenarios or any trauma can save more lives before the first responders arrive on scene.
In this class you will go through a well created PowerPoint through the campaign that the instructors provide. This PowerPoint references everything you will need to know about basic trauma bleeding control, pathophysiology of bleeding, and proper medical equipment or equipment on/around you to mitigate problems. You will then be assigned and shown a hands-on portion of the class to utilize your new learned skills. Fake human body props are provided with scenarios that you will work on as if it was real life.”
